The Taco Stand is very popular here among tourists and transplants! It’s not very popular among San Diegans as it is considered mid. Tacos El Gordo is the real deal. My tip for finding authentic Mexican food? Look at the types of meat (lengua, cabeza, birria made with goat and not beef) or the types of soup (menudo, pozole, albondigas).
