Those that don't agree with him, why? I'm genuinely curious to why you don't agree? As a mom if I can't be a good one then why would I expect my kids to want to be around me. I am no contact with my mom because of the way she has treated me, she is the parent and sees nothing she has done is wrong. We all mess up, and that's okay. But apologizing and meaning it is the most important thing!

My parents have never listened to my feelings always blamed me. I’ve had breakdowns and not one of them have been there for me, I can’t talk to them about anything. I got married in January and because I got married how I wanted too ( I didn’t want a big wedding )what they wanted. They didn’t come to my wedding. So now I’ve cut them off and I’ve found so much peace.

OR someone else sparked that resentment from a young age. My 17 year older sister did that to me and being a child, I had no idea what triangulation was and I grew up hating my mother. I went LC and she ended up passing. By the time I figured out what happened and the truth came out, it was too late. ❤️🩹 Each situation is different so blaming everyone as an “always” situation is not accurate. Estrangement is complicated and nuanced.

People always say things to me like “aww but it’s your mum/dad” or “but you only get one of them”… yeah that’s true but no one asks what they did that led to one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make? what did they do that was so bad that I would voluntarily choose to never speak to them again? Rarely people ask the right questions 😭
