Make sure you have a support network, this job can be hell for so many. Veterinarians have one of the highest suic/de rates of any profession. Follow your passion, do it for the animals. Get a therapist and a support network

Guys please chase your goals and don't settle for a career you're not really passionate about. I almost did the same thing until i returned to my childhood dream of working with animals and actively pursued this career in my early twenties. Volunteered at an animal shelter for half a year, then I was lucky to land a job as a sealiontrainer for almost 2 years and am now in official 3-year training to become a full rounded zookeeper. Just take the risk and try, it's so worth it.

i want to help animals so badly like i cannot tell how ill it makes me feel how animals are treated nowadays and no one helps them. when i younger i told my dad who is also a animal person that i want to live on a farm with so many animals and take care of them.

when I was 8, i chose zoology. in my first year of college, my family pressured me into medicine. i dropped out, and am currently saving to go back for zoology. I WILL be getting my degree in animal science. 🩷
