@Shawna: This story never states what country it is located in but if it was the United States payment can only be REQUIRED if it is elective treatment. If Marks surgery was an emergency it is illegal to require payment or delay treatment due ti coverage or OOP cost, it's called EMTALA. Any family that wouldn't drop everything and run to the hospital or support from a distance if they are not local, the parents of a child in the ICU is not worthy of that child or caregivers love. Mom needs to block and remove the clearly selfish, entitled, narcissistic people from their lives. Chosen family/ blood family who truly love, care for and prioritize will make the effort, sacrifices and time for people who matter. Mom made the child a priority and unfortunately now knows the hard truth about everyone who showed their true colors in a crisis. Mom and Lilly deserve an amazing life with people in their circle who truly love them. 💜💜
