people who don’t understand mexico booking trips and then canceling them right now are driving me crazy lmao… cartel violence happens every day, it’s publicized right now because the US govt was involved and american tourists are watching it… avoid certain cities, but mexico as an tourist in a sheltered resort is just as safe as it always has been in places other than puerto vallarta and other non tourist locations where cartel violence occurs regularly.

For those tourists that are currently sheltering in resorts being looked after by the lovely people of Mexico...lmagine how horrible it must be for them knowing what's going on outside of the properties....wanting to check on their families. I’m glad you’re safe. I remember going to Bali after one of the terrorist bombings and while it was important to me to support the people with my tourism dollars I had to think about my personal safety. Obs I was fine. I’m due to go to Sayulita next week and as much as I want to support the community the decision isn’t as easy plus no flights right now so there’s that.
