My dad was a pitcher and played pro fastpitch in the 70s and 80s, with the World Championships in Midland, Michigan. Seeing this video makes me sad to see what it's become.

Men have played fast pitch for YEARS. I learned how to pitch from a men's pitcher in the early 2000s.

I’m pretty sure this is purely to avoid pitchers from blowing their arms out for a rec league. Don’t see the issue.
