@e30312: In the 1970s in Kabul kite flying was one of the most exciting and respected traditions especially during the winter season when the skies were filled with colorful kites and skilled fighters gathered on hills and open fields young men prepared their glass coated strings with great care and large crowds watched intense kite battles that lasted for hours the wind across the city created perfect conditions and the sound of cheering echoed from rooftops and hills making kite flying a proud symbol of joy competition and unity in that era we are reviving the exact same tradition here in the United States !
