The pair paused for a moment, and continued with their presentation. John Davidson, 54, lives with Tourette's syndrome, a neurological disorder that can cause involuntary tics and outbursts. Tourette's can worsen when trying to suppress tics in high-stress or excitement situations according to research. Alan Cummings, BAFTAs host, asked for understanding after the incident and apologised for the offence caused.

the daily mail had the foresight to cut it out, but the baftas couldn't? yet somehow they edited out someone saying free palestine? regardless of the tic itself being involuntary, there is a clear lack of care from the baftas regarding black people and how we must put up with racial abuse.
