Because it was the first animation on my channel to go viral, and it was also the first time I truly saw both the advantages and the downsides of becoming an animator. When I made that animation, my art skills weren’t very good yet. Somehow, it still went viral, and at the time I was genuinely very happy. But it also brought me two problems. First, because my art wasn’t very strong back then, I received a lot of criticism and mockery (especially from people in Vietnam — my own country). It hurt, and I was really sad. But I didn’t quit. I kept practicing, kept learning, and that’s how I got to where I am today. Second… the “goodboy Sprout” joke. Well, it was just meant to be a joke. I didn’t expect people to feel uncomfortable about it. That became a valuable lesson for me — it taught me to be more careful and more mindful about going too far with jokes in the future. Still, that animation shaped who I am today. So I decided to remake it — partly as a tribute, and partly to see how much I’ve grown over the past year. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this year. And I also want to thank the people who criticized my art back then. Even though it hurt, you gave me the motivation to improve and become better than I was. A special thanks to @poilubsu for the Sprout x Cosmo comic, which inspired me to create that animation in the first place. And special thanks to @termifode for using my animation idea to create an even more amazing animation. I won’t stop here.
