@yeli.heidecker: Friendly reminder that you are not behind… your screen time is just too high. I caught myself lately grabbing my phone and within minutes feeling like I wasn’t enough. Like I was behind. Like everyone else had it more together. You know that spiral. We all do. And then I checked my screen time and honestly? It shook me. No wonder I feel overwhelmed. No wonder I feel burned out. No wonder my brain never fully rests. The numbers were telling on me in the worst way. So I actually took a weekend off social media, and not only did I feel more productive, but my nervous system felt calmer. I am also someone who doesn’t touch my phone for the first hour of the day. That’s a non negotiable for me. Even with that boundary in place the screen time was still wild. I can only imagine what it looks like without it. If we put down our phones for even half the time we’re on them? imagine. Imagine the things we could actually accomplish. The creative energy we’d have back. The comparison we’d stop feeding. The present moments we’d actually be in. Less consumption. More living. High screen time is so quietly detrimental. It messes with how you see yourself, how you measure your progress, how you feel about your home, your body, your life. You’re not behind. You’re just consuming too much of other people’s highlight reels and not enough of your own actual life. Put the phone down. The messy middle is actually a really good place to be. 🤍 Save this for the next time you need a reminder. #intentionalliving #lessismore #simplelife #contentment #intetionalparenting
