I have BEEN joking that because Claire Redfield’s alternate outfit from Resident Evil Revelations 2 is essentially an altered Twin Peaks uniform, ⛰️⛰️ she must have been a waitress 🍔 there before working at TerraSave 😂 which explains why her first stop back in Raccoon City in ‘98 was not her brother’s house, but the local diner lol (maybe she used to work there too or just loves fast food like her brother does in the novels). 😂 🏍️Twin Peaks, to my understanding, is a similar concept to Hooter’s. 🦉 In fact, the uniforms are SO similar to Claire’s alt outfit that I even planned to buy aTwin Peaks uniform to use as a costume, but I read that the shirts are polyester, 😵 and I didn’t think that would be comfortable for long term wear at a con, 🥵 so I just altered a thrifted cotton button-up to resemble them by cropping and re-hemming the sleeves and bottom by hand and painting the design for the back. 🎨 I know that the real reason Claire went on to work for TerraSave is because she wants to help people like Sherry and herself who are displaced by bioterrorism, 🦠 which is a noble cause, and I know she is college educated 🎓 and a highly qualified investigator and humanitarian aid worker who takes a nonviolent approach to reform, ❤️ so I hope this doesn’t sound like I’m disparaging her, but it’s dang funny she wears a Twin Peaks uniform and may have been fired for painting the back of it. lol 🤠 I’m still making some ongoing changes to this costume. In particular, I’m attaching the holster better to the belt and garter and finishing painting the garter. 🧑🏻‍🎨 The artwork for the back of Claire’s shirt presented a unique challenge because there aren’t any available high definition depictions of it, 😵‍💫 so I kinda had to look at an amalgamation of screenshots from the game and paint what I think it looks like to the best of my ability. 😅 You can see my process here. I painted it on an iPad and I’m printing it 🖨️ as a direct to fabric transfer to iron on so that the shirt will be washable and I won’t have awkward paint cracking like I’ve had with pieces I’ve painted directly in the past. #ClaireRedfield #ResidentEvilRevelations2 #ResidentEvilcosplay #ResidentEvil #ClaireRedfieldcosplay
