hey I'm 39 weeks pregnant an I have no signs of labor can I go ask for induction or should I wait an is induction something you choose to do or they recommend it for you

I was lucky, I was scheduled for induction. I was already a loose 4cm when we got to hospital. OB just broke my water. No real pain till 6cm, then all hell broke loose lol. But luckily I didn't need potocin

i'm sceduled for a induction next week monday the 18th of May due to my high blood pressure but i'm scared cause its my first baby and i don't know what to expect and the stories that i've heard even makes me more anxious. They said getting an induction is more painfull due to the fact that the pains are there faster and quicker than going into labour normal. Is it true that it is more painfull?
