I keep seeing “why does he even know the word” “why is it in his vocabulary” he clearly knows the word because EVERYBODY knows that word, it’s in our history, it’s in our music, it’s in our media, you can hear people saying it in the street, that word being in his vocabulary doesn’t automatically mean he’s a racist, it’s just a word that he knows, a word that he has been introduced to within his life, it doesn’t mean he’s using it in his daily life

John has been transported 40years into the past because of this. He is now facing the same stigma attached to the condition he had as a child/teen. It's gut wrenching he's having to go through this again, because the BBC failed to edit it out. The film is the best film in a long time, heartbreakingly funny and raised a huge awareness of the condition. And now this 💔
