@deadliestlift: You know what I actually think of when I deadlift? Besides the fact that we still allow corporate lobbiests, interests, and money into Congress, the time I switched the music to All Star by Smashmouth while a women was (up to that point at least) actively attempting to have her way with me, and how Little Ann just straight up died of loneliness? I think of just picking up the bar. And not some lame visualization mumbojumbo, I'm not out here manifesting a 1,000lb deadlift, I just MANLYFIST some supreme confidence that that bar is going up. Like my manly fist is going to go up it's..where was I going? Oh yeah so after I do my preflight ritual of wondering why we couldn't have fed the CEO of Boeing to that Sharptooth instead of Littlefoot's mom, followed by some Lamaze breathing techniques, I just pick the bar up. I'm not bashing my head into the wall, or channeling some fuking heartbreak, that's cringe. I channel my heartbreak in the shower, or on the highway, or at 2am, like an *adult*. Y'all never lived until you sucked down a PB&J tortilla with a chicken tender in the shower as a pre workout as Iris plays. I don't want the world to see me either, John Rzeznik, except obviously do because I'm recording my soggy shower snack for an IG shower jump scare. Dont get excited perverts, you can't see anything but my raw emotions. Anyways, at the gym I'm just there to pick things up, and put them down.
