I personally prefer to ride hat down but I do suggest that riders starting out to just wear one from the start and learn with it. It’s hard changing habits so form the right ones from the get go.

The girls and I have a speech about helmets. It’s not about if you think you are athletic enough to be ok and it’s not about if you think this animal will not hurt you. It is about whether or not you expect life to be fair to you 100% of the time. And life is not fair 100% of the time.

They say the rule book is often written in blood. Sadly I think a lot of people will only learn the lesson the hard way before they can be convinced to wear safety gear (in many sports- take Dale Sr. for example with a HANS device) tough and safe can exist at the same time!

Holy shit I’m glad your still with us that’s some gruesome work I’m 18 rode a bull 2 times had all the protection on and got stomped on both times one on the forearm and one on the leg nothing like that but still hurt like hell lol
