This is actually True. Even in Ohio where Esters law is, it must be publicly posted outside the room, and cannot infringe on their roommates privacy and must be signed off. Florida does not legally allow this.

it also depends on the consent of POAs in shared rooms. If the room is shared in any capacity, the law protects the resident sharing the room with a loved one.
