I think it *can* be that. Some men are specifically attracted to the "masculinity". But men come in different flavors. Some will want muscular women to be dominant, some want to dominate muscular women, some are kinda fruity and think you're "the best of both worlds," some mean it as a simple compliment they're just stunted by our society, and some think you'll be a workout buddy and "fix them." I say this from experience.

As a lesbian personal trainer, lemme just say it comes from women too. Some people just really like masculinity. Its nothing to do with being attracted to men. My wife is tall and masculine, Im short and masculine. Neither of us like men 😅🫶

okay so this take is going to sound unhinged and doesn't really have anything to do with the being masc part but genuinely I think that part of it comes from the fact that humans have traditionally engaged in goddess worship for tens of thousands of years and now it is heavily repressed in our psyches yet it is still there and something about especially physically powerful women just wrings that out for a lot of people, even if they may not realize that's where it's coming from

I think a lot of it just comes down to the discipline of the grind and the confidence that comes from that. I’ve been married for 33 years so my take on this isn’t really relevant (my wife is fit but she’s not at all a gym girl) but I used to date women who trained with weights in the 80s and early 90s. They looked great, yes, but most of all, they just had a vibe that they knew who they were and were not at all afraid of it. They were also very much in touch with what their bodies could do… and that is rad 😁👍👏🫡.

I like discipline, someone who wants to live longer than 70, and I work out a lot so it’s nice to have the same kind of hobby, also as someone who dated muscular & non-muscular women. It’s easier to move a couch when you move out when she does arm day.

okay, so as a straight guy into muscle mommies I'll give you MY perspective. take this all with a grain of salt. I like that they're fit. Being a muscle mommy usually means you have a good body shape and low body fat percentage which, generally, men find attractive. Now there's a limit to how cut/muscleular I'm into, like Mrs. Olympia competitors do nothing for me, that's too much. I like a bit of plush and softness still. Also, it's not masculinity that I like, it's the directness and lack of playing games which is valued, a lot! if I wanted to play games and look for signals, I have a PS5... would I say it's a kink? not exactly. I'm into all different kinds of women, and unfortunately only women.

idk but as a 16yro girl who has experienced the sexualisation from men ALOT older than me for being jacked I think that this culture of muscular women being a 'kink' puts us in danger of harassment and unwanted sexual attention
