The band’s core members were producer Rollo Armstrong, keyboardist/DJ Sister Bliss, and vocalist Maxi Jazz. They rose to prominence with their debut album Reverence (1996), which included the iconic club anthem Insomnia, a track that became one of the most influential electronic singles of the decade. Throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, Faithless released a string of successful albums (including Sunday 8PM and No Roots), earning a reputation for powerful live performances and politically aware themes.
