I had an issue with my neighbor. They showed up here with a bunch of chainsaws and stuff, and they were gonna cut down the trees that are in my yard. My husband was able to stop them because he was able to prove where the property line was. But ever since this jackass bought this building next-door he thinks because he has money he can do whatever he wants. I’m glad that you stood up to them and I’m glad that there was enough left to grow back. I have some of the few trees on my block and some of the oldest trees on my block. (My neighbor grew up in my house they planted the trees back in the 1960’s) I have bats that live up there. I’ve birds that live up there. You’re right it’s a whole ecosystem! When they showed up to cut that down, I lost my shit. You kept it together a lot better than I did.

I'm so glad we had that chat, never let others steal your truth with lies. You are not a social media warrior you are a true social justice warrior and the people who have no shine of their own will try to dull yours. I realize that fighting the man to not destroy the wilderness is not social justice but it's still justice for the trees and its inhabitants.
