I have epilepsy, a life threatening disability. I have hurt, inconvenienced, and even soiled other people in the midst of my seizures. I have always apologized when I’ve done these things. Even if I temporarily stopped breathing during a seizure I apologize. Even if don’t remember anything that happened, if someone tells me I hurt them I apologize. Having a seizure and soiling yourself in front of people is one of the most humiliating things that can happen to a person, but I STILL APOLOGIZE. Disability does not automatically make you no longer responsible for your actions.
