@mozandmiel: Shirini keshmeshi🌷 Persian raisin cookies that are thin, crisp on the edges, and soft in the middle. Little me was obsessed with these growing up🤤 Irani shirini can be very pricey, so with Nowruz coming up, I thought I would share some traditional recipes that I love. Ingredients 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 large egg 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1 tbsp rose water 1 and 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup raisins Instructions: Melt butter a bit in the microwave. When cooled, add sugar and mix until incorporated. Add egg, vanilla, and rose water. Stir until combined, do not overmix. Add flour, baking soda, salt. Stir until combined. Fold in the raisins. (Do not add more flour, the dough is supposed to be really sticky) Bake at 350F for 15 minutes or until the edges are golden. Remove from oven and tap the baking tray (on a heat-safe surface or towel) a few times so the cookie collapses. #nowruz #MiddleEasternCuisineGuide #persianfood #cookierecipe #EasyRecipe
