I will go start a completely new life with my kids and that’s what I did. I didn’t care ab the financial part. I know that’s not everyone this was just my experience. Mine took 2.5 years. I paid everything financial too so I could get full custody. It took another 7 years to pay all of it off.

I had to wait a year to get divorced because I was pregnant. I didn’t know that in Texas you had to wait until after the baby was born to do it. After that, it was a pretty quick process because I told the judge that I wanted nothing except the babies. I didn’t want help with child support, but he refuses to pay that and the courts do nothing about it.

Mine took that long. He would never agree in mediation. Went to court 3 times!! I stayed so damn stressed out for years. I was so happy when it was finally finalized!! Good luck!! Hang in there ....it does suck for sure
