I really like what this adds. Also, you just proved that adding theremin to Portishead turns them into Stereolab. Something I’ve long suspected, but didn’t have concrete proof of until now, so thank you for that. 😅 If you like trip-hop paired with non-traditional instruments & can stand a little of a lo-fi on purpose, ramshackle sound, you might very much enjoy the record By The Roads And The Fields by Crescent. It’s an odd one, but has really cool elements that make it a hidden gem, with adjacency to that genre. They’re from Bristol too, but their approach is so indie rock that people missed the trip-hop roots.
