I love the ending. As an individual who has reinvented myself a number of times throughout my life, it was refreshing to see a movie end with hope, a blank slate, standing at a crossroads of a decision that will change the direction of his life forever. Incredible.

It’s a perfect movie. The ending captures that feeling that we all have of regretting what might have been but having hope for the future.

It really sucks because the world buried him and moved on and he can't scream it loud enough that he is alive. Its like a horrible time travel event.

The only thing that surprised me about the ending is when he realizes he’s been dead the whole time after his wife drops his wedding ring on the floor.

I just re-watched this a few months ago and I think the ending is why I like it. I watched this movie when it came out as a teenager, and the ending stuck with me because it wasn't a happy one. that is life most of the time. we are all of us hoping beyond all reasonable doubt that the world won't take from us the one thing we couldn't bare to lose, and for almost all of us that day will come, or we go first and are that worst experience for someone we love.
