ABOUT THE ROLE As an Underground Nipper, you will provide safe and efficient underground mining operations with assistance and supplying materials to work areas in support of Underground mining crews. Your work will encompass health and safety tasks and various assisting tasks to support underground mining activities including delivering consumables and materials, transporting personnel, housekeeping, and general duties underground. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with Underground Shift Supervisor and cross shift operator for smooth equipment handovers. Ensure timely and proper setup of headings, anticipating needs. Remove unused equipment and excess ground support from completed headings. Perform thorough pre-start checks on equipment before operation. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of light vehicles, promptly reporting defects.
