I have known this for years.. told to me by an airline attendant who did that. I never use the in room coffee maker. Also know that most ice machines are never cleaned. Try this...fill a cup with ice and let it melt. If the water is clear then good to go but in my experience 9 out of 10 have black gunk specs🤮
