Almighty God,
Prince of Peace,
We come before You in the shadow of war.
You see the devastation.
You hear the explosions before they sound.
You know the names of every life touched by this conflict in Ukraine.
Nothing is hidden from You — not the battlefield, not the bunker, not the broken heart.
Lord, we cry out for mercy over this war.
We pray for the cities scarred by violence —
for Kyiv and its streets once filled with laughter,
for Kherson and its wounded homes,
for Mariupol and the memories buried beneath rubble,
for Kharkiv and every place where sirens replace silence.
God of compassion,
Look upon the soldiers who stand in fear and determination.
Protect those defending their homeland.
Turn away unnecessary bloodshed.
Restrain evil.
Interrupt violence.
Confound plans that seek destruction.
For the civilians caught in the crossfire —
be their refuge.
For children who wake to the sound of missiles —
be their comfort.
For the elderly who cannot flee —
be their strength.
For families torn apart by borders and displacement —
be their hope of reunion.
Lord, war hardens hearts.
Soften them.
War fuels hatred.
Extinguish it.
War spreads lies and propaganda.
Let truth rise stronger than deception.
We pray for prisoners of war —
that they be treated with dignity.
For the wounded —
that they receive care.
For the grieving —
that they receive comfort deeper than sorrow.
God of justice,
We ask not only for an end to fighting
but for a just and lasting peace.
A peace that protects sovereignty.
A peace that honors human life.
A peace that rebuilds what has been shattered.
Guide world leaders making decisions behind closed doors.
Give them wisdom beyond politics, courage beyond pride,
and a vision beyond retaliation.
We ask You to stand in the midst of the battlefield —
to be the unseen shield,
the quiet whisper that says, “Enough.”
Bring this war to an end.
Let the guns fall silent.
Let negotiations replace bombs.
Let rebuilding replace ruin.
Let forgiveness, though hard and slow, begin its work.
And when history remembers this time,
may it also remember resilience,
faith under fire,
and the miracle of peace rising from ashes.
Lord, we entrust Ukraine to You.
We entrust
