hide and seek is basically survival tool disguised as a kids game. it teaches kid show to find the best hiding spot in a short period of time.... so in events when they actually need to hide they know all the good spots.

Where as, as a millennial, me & friends by age 8 were out at night playing spot light for hours. Literally hide & go seek at night, usually after 9/10pm. It was fantastic & lots of fun & the parents would just all be inside watching tv.
