Police were called and discovered Hardee’s remains, badly decomposed after days in the heat. Hardee, who was experiencing homelessness at the time, had been seen last alive days earlier and was believed to be vulnerable due to her circumstances. Investigators linked items used to bind her body — including tent fabric, rope, and tape — to materials found at West’s camp in Boulder.
