That’s why my 7 year old is in self defense classes because she is not allowed to fight but I have given permission to defend herself not to use her skills to hurt but protect herself and possibly others that are being attacked. Once hands are on her she knows what to do. Plus now days it protects against grown adults trying to hurt her

Bullies want a reaction, feel shame. I would tell kids that were bullied to think, not say, you’re a stupid poopoo head. It made them laugh and didn’t give the bully what they most want. The bully moved on in days.

I told my kids to tell them to stop and walk away from a bully. Then tell a teacher and myself what happened. I told my kid bullies are probably mad about their life and try to make others sad to make themselves feel better. So we should feel bad for bullies but never let them bully you.
