If your cat becomes a kitten, they won't retire after the run, you can take them out again and continue to level them as an adult. Unless they have eternal youth, then they become decoration in your house

lucky, my cat was a level 1 tech and was instantly made a kitten, whole run through act 2 to beating moon man and he was USELESS. Still won though

there's technically no lvl cap for kittens I'm assuming, but if you drink the fountain of youth, the cat who drank it won't lvl up anymore.
