You just proved that the mold is catalase positive 😁 Hydrogen peroxide is used as a test in microbiology labs to test if the organism in question has the ability to produce catalase to protect it self - breaking down hydrogen peroxide down to water and hydrogen. It's the hydrogen you see as bubbles. #bonusinformation

Vinegar is the only thing that kills mold. White vinegar.

You still have to take the rubber seal out. Most of the mold grows under there

If you take them apart and wash them completely and let them dry out 48 hrs before using them again they don’t get moldy.

see the black ring....the gasket....yeah that needs to come out and be washed. There is mold under it too. I now have kitchen tweezers for removing them

distilled white vinegar works like a charm, let it sit for a bit and then rinse out. Air it out so smell is gone and it’s good as new
