@ruth.praise.music: BEST WAY TO DO OPENING PRAYER 1. Start with 2 to 5 "Thanksgiving Songs" (you can prolong it depending on the time given) 2. Kindly lead the congregation to thank the Lord (you can actually do this in 2 ways, ✅ general thanksgiving - where everyone will have a general thing to thank God for individually, what they deem fit deserving thanks) (family, life, work, journey mercies, colleagues, church etc) ✅ you can again lead everyone to thank God again as a second prayer point for specifics- based on the theme of the program, (example; God's salvation, Lord's supper- priviledge to dine with the Lord, priviledge to work in His vineyard- if this officer's or leaders appreciation, etc) 3. If the prayer time is prolonged here, you can chip in with a song (optional) 4. Then you lead the church to ask for forgiveness of sins, (very rare nowadays)- 1 John 1:9- he's faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us of unrighteousness - if only bee ask ✅you can sing any relating song 5. Again lead the church to ask for the God's presence, or the HolyGhost to come and dwell in your midst as we can do without Him. He should lead, as the Head of the Church and Chai the service, etc) ✅(you can as well sing any relatable song to yearning for the presence of God, again, if there's time) 6. You again lead the church to specifically infill the Speaker, all chairs, and workers for the days' program (mainly because we are just likened to empty vessels, or clay in our potters(God's) hands bring molded into useful or valuables for His service and glory, and we can't do on our own or without Him.) You then summarize the prayers or call on someone to do so while you hand the microphone over to the person.
