I’m a pool guy and I’ve used the normal standard pole (not blue ones) the only reason I have a carbon fiber one now is because our new company truck has side opening topper and short bed you do not need a type of pole for a salt pool it’s not nearly as salty as people think it’s not open water like the sea but I’ve tried several different poles and I have had a single one rust and I do more than 70 pools a week

They’re nice and light weight break pretty quick. For your own pool would be fine but I service 85+ pools and it broke on me after about 2 months.
