Hair only grows 1/2 an inch a month. I’m a hairdresser. That is breakage. If it was new hair it would all be the same length.

as a hairstylist as well, hair follicles grow/ shed at different paces based on a lot of different factors. breakage is always a possibility, but don’t listen to the stylists in the comments saying this isn’t new growth.
