If you lift up lightly on the tailgate it should go up as if you pushed the button. So you don’t have to reach under and push the button.

My 2024 raptor was the same way and I hated it.. also the driver assist would almost throw you through the windshield hitting the brake so hard. I love Ford, but they definitely have their issues.
