@franmaesmith: 1. I thought I would be bored, but actually it’s been the opposite 2. I thought I wouldn’t feel like a creative person anymore but weirdly have felt more creative than I have in years 3. Really believed I would never find another passion, but truth is I was denying myself lots of passions whilst following the dream! 4. I’d get bored at my 9-5 (sometimes yes, but it allows me to have the lifestyle I want) 5. People would judge me (everyone is only interested in themselves) #HealingJourney #startingover #actors #lifeafteradream #artistsontiktok

I allowed it consume my entire identity. Last year I finally woke up and realised the whole industry is a bit of a con. Since then I couldn’t care less. Never felt so free😂

acting, unfortunately is you or your parents pay out and invest for years, your in good teenage shows, you pay to go drama school, graduate and then you find out there is just too many people who have done the same and a tiny amount of jobs.

I too went to drama school- I thought I was so confident my talent would get me places within the business, but a month after graduating someone said to me that actually it’s talent 10% the rest is how you go about marketing yourself which is very difficult in London when you need to work. Got to eat sleep and eat it again. All the best

Your video has just come up on my fyp and relate so much! Went to drama school after uni but got a full time job right before covid. I used to feel stuck and guilty for not being creative but working full time has allowed me to find other passions, have more stability and also have the best of both worlds. Working full time has also changed my perspective of what it means to be successful in this industry

So interesting. Good gor you ✨ What do you do in the 9-5? And did anything you learnt at drama school come in handy?
