i really hate how the literacy crisis affects gen alphas ability to become aware of issues like these, kids in my class were shown thereasons why ai is AWFUL for the enviroment, and they DIDNT CARE because "it helps me with my homework". they are 13 and lack the basic cognitive functions to form MORALS and LOGIC based desicion making. they dont undertsand the gravity of it, we are all going to die when its our turn to be an adult because of polution, climate change, and out dwindling resources and they DONT CARE because they are too inmature and stupid. they cant guess what a word means if they dont know it, they ask questions about something that is written directly infront of them, and they cant figure out things on their own. we are in END STAGE capitalism, the world is RUNNING. OUT. of resources as we speak, let me repeat we are RUNNING OUT!!! and no one cares because the government doesnt tell us, because if the general public found out there would be riots and revolutions, exactly what they dont want. so now the system allows people to consume information in shortform videos that our brains WERENT BUILT to process such information so quickly, we become desensitized to it. i got a video of a mother in gaza begging for her life, and i could just SCROLL past it to a video of an ai dog dancing. that is what the world has come to. we get sad for a week and then MOVE ON because of how fast social media moves, and how influencial it is. it was BUILT to controll and desenatize people and it was WORKED. nothing will change, no one will read all of this, and no one will do anything. this world is so awful and unfair, and yet im still one of the luky ones not in a 3rd world country. the world will just move on, scroll past, and not bring it up untill its too late. pesimistic i know, but the harsh reality, you can try to do things about it and its a great idea—hell it is what we NEED to do, but when the system was made against us, made to dumb us down, turn us against eachother, how is it that we can collectivly do something?... what can a knight do to an army? a rock to a mountain? you to the world? but what can a fire do to a forest? BURN it.
