I wish they would’ve been more educational about this in the hospital. I was a first time mom, had an emergency c section and had issues latching baby. They asked me if I wanted to pump and I said I would wait to start until we got home. Obviously I was never able to get a full supply after that..

Hey! This is great! Does this one hour mean I go into my c section at like 9 am then my window is 10 am? Also I’m having twins is it better to immediately try out both babies at once? Does it make a difference or not really

Yes! My lactation consultant just told me this the other day. Never knew before. Unfortunately, I had a traumatic birth and wasn’t able to pump until 2.5 days later but we’ve been working to make up for the lost time. Boobs hurt but yes stimulation! 🥰

Aren’t the first few days after birth we’re just producing colostrum and then after that milk comes in? This is another thing that I had NO idea about but am slowly learning to understand!

so for how long do i have to feed and stimulate milk production every 2-3 hours for? will baby and me ever start sleeping through the whole night or do i always have to feed every 2-3 hours? or just until birth weight is back up

Should I be getting a pump to take with me to hospital as a just in case. I plan for vbac but if I go C im having general so dont anticipate being there for the golden hour if it goes that way

💯 my baby latched on my breast for 6 hours straight when she was 24 hours old. I woke up next day with the biggest boobs, I think my body thought I had triplets, I then had oversupply issues for 6 months 😆

mamas, if this didn't happen for you, it's ok - I had an extremely traumatic birth experience that led me to being unable to care for my baby for the first 36 hours and my milk supply was perfectly fine. I had an oversupply. don't let this scare you.

The first important thing in breastfeeding is figuring out your nipples type. Nobody prepared me for that or told me only when I started having issues, because I have inverted nipples. So that’s the most important thing. I couldn’t successfully breastfeed, so I had to pump

I was told to feed 20min per side then after that pump 20 minutes and to do that every 2h … my body got so confused I ended up having 2 let downs per feed ie empty one breast latch on the other side then I would have second let down in the first breast my body thought I was feeding 3 babies … I ended up with mastitis because I made too much milk
