I had hives years ago, one day I just woke up with swollen face, had to call in for day off. For the next a few days I had hives on different areas on my body randomly. Saw doctor. Never found out what caused it.

One of my middle school science teachers was allergic to hedgehogs. She found that out when she got one for a class pet....couldn't touch it without gloves.

Sounds about right. Not certain what I've got but I'm sick and my kid pouted big time I wouldn't take her to Wendys for a frosty. I didn't even go in her PT so I didn't get them sick

I react to our hedgehogs. I get itchy, hives, etc. I also take antihistamine regularly for my body's overproduction of histamine. So that helps me, it's minimal hives and scritches now.
