y'all can I use a cane even tho I'm not diagnosed with anything? that's low-key the only thing that would help me get around because i usually pick up random sticks and walk around with them because I fall and trip I feel stupid 🥀💔

my friend said “wait you actually use a cane if i saw you with that id throw it so far away from me” and “but you can walk why do you have a cane”. yes because i really enjoy walking with pain in every part of my body and limping is so much better than a cane.

I've been thinking about getting a cane or walker because I've been getting on and off leg pains, but I feel extremely rude using it as there are some days thay I can go without pain. I use a crutch or cane depending on what I have the effort for and one thing I hate is sitting in the disabled area of the bus so I don't have to fight my way up and down the stairs, and someone asks me why I'm sitting there while my walking aid is right in-between my legs, I'd get it if they were curious about why I need It, but they always try and get me out the seat just because I don't "look disabled"✌️😭

i just started using a cane today but i got so embarassed and stoped using it mid-day and i so regreat it cause i also left it in my locker. i cant go stanif/walking without pain, sever pain shooting through both my legs, mainly knees and ankles. and it is because of my scoliosis but i feel like i dont need it even tho i can barely walk/cant walk only after a few minutes without help. :((
