This is why it makes me furious seeing people judge parents or carers for using pushchairs and harnesses etc for their eloping SEN children. I’m so happy your story ended this way, such a beautiful little girl. The staff at Alderhey really are super heroes ❤️

As a mother of an autistic child who runs, this is so close to home. It’s so scary when they bolt, they have no idea of the dangers of the world. I’m so so glad you got your baby home well and safe. I’m so sorry you all went through that. Thank god for those heroic first responders.

Honestly this scares me so much. My little boy absolutely loves water, when we're at the beach he's always trying to go in deeper because he thinks he can swim, he can't but the swimming schools by us will only take him with private lessons and I can't afford that, it's so scary.
