Something that pisses me off, idk if all manufacturers are the same. But Chrysler will cut times for “power tool use” I paid good fucking money for my power tools to make my life easier and I’m punished for it

it doesn’t matter either way. times are still gonna get cut so might as well say it. majority of manufacturers already know the short cuts before they’re even spoken about cuz the do the repair 100’s of times over to even come up with a time. hondas eps recall started out as 1.6 bc you had to drop the subframe to do it and within a month or 2 dealers were being shipped special tools to perform the recall without dropping the rack and cut the time to .5

Not how it works. For hyundai you can actually submit request to bring up the book time. They review it. They get the same car in for the job. They do the job 3 times and they will bring it up if it takes more time than the book

People been making this mistake forever. Older gen will tell you ford used to pay $50 for short cuts to cut labor times. People would take the easy 50 bucks and lose ten times more over time. Then people started giving it away to manufacturers for free on forums then on social media. Ford specifically had a tech forum they moderated and people would post short cuts there…
