Fun fact, humans are genetically predisposed to being afraid of snakes. Ppl can and do overcome this without much issue. But the reason is throughout human evolution we lived in places where snakes are pretty much from start to finish. The first apes that we descend from lived in trees where there were snakes, then when we started walking upright there were different snakes. It was genetically superior to assume any long thing that moves is a snake and to be couches of it.
