@_wyomingisreal: This is Sinks Canyon State Park in Lander, Wyoming. The Popo Agie River flows straight into a limestone cavern called “The Sinks” and disappears underground. It travels through a natural cave system and resurfaces downstream at “The Rise.” Scientists have tested it with dye and confirmed it’s the same water making its way beneath the mountain. What makes it so unique is its proximity to town. You can be in downtown Lander and within just a few minutes you’re in a canyon watching an entire river vanish into the earth.
