This is why people go to grad school bc the discomfort of the unknown becomes too unbearable

This is why u gotta soft launch adulting while ur still in school. Like list out everyone u care about and how often u want to see them, whether it’s a biweekly FaceTime or monthly lunch together or rlly anything that works. A good part of it is the feeling of being stuck alone. And u gotta make new friends, whether it’s by joining a hobby group like painting or a dance group or a fitness class etc. having new people of the same demographic helps u feel less lost, especially since they likely feel lost in similar ways! Another lowkey banger of an idea is to go to far away cities, have the time of ur life with a stranger, get their contact, and boom — story liker + pen pal for life. Tried and true method. It just gets expensive mid-late 20s when everyone starts getting married and u gotta fly everywhere to show up for the people that got u through :D

No one really talks about how you’re just thrust into the world after graduation, but we’re human and we’re curious. Things will call to you, hobbies, places, people and you have to follow those things even if they’re scary! Coming from an almost 30 year old who JUST started streaming because I love games post-grad!

Graduated last year and I ask those questions every night. The first few months were definitely rough, but it got better once I started new random hobbies and landed a job. That existential feeling has not gone away, but I remind myself it's natural for my age and feeling comfortable comes with time.

this is real AF. what I will tell you as someone going through this RIGHT NOW, it's not easy but admitting this and acknowledging it happened prior is already a great step. I have struggled through these transitional times and it's hard when everyone around you is at different places but it does get better. You have already done this before in a different way so you have the skills necessary to combat this feeling. there will be some struggles especially find a job and such but it's okay to feel like this but know you got this and you aren't alone :)

Yes it will happen and be hard + confusing but you will ultimately figure it out!! It helps to start a new hobby to replace the routine of learning something new for ex i taught myself to knit! But it might take a good 2 years once again to get used to the new life and that’s ok! I’m coming up on 2 years and now feel like ok…settling in a bit

It’s a normal feeling a person have leaving something he used to do for along time but that’s the fun of it when you learn new things and try completely new routine looking back at what you’ve did gives you amazing feeling and makes you proud of what you’ve become

After graduating I was unemployed. I spent the complete remainder of my money on noise canceling headphones and a black out eye mask. I wore those and laid naked on the couch in coffin pose for 3 full summer months. In a period of mania I got a job. My bosses were a French ballerina man and his deaf father, which did not help my mania. I then moved cities completely, and 2.5 years later - with a stable job and financial situation - I can confidentially say that I have asked myself all of your fear questions every single day. Maybe try witchcraft? Hope this helps
