I’ve given up hoping it’ll get better. If you really need to know are things improving look at your billing history. Before Covid I was paying £30 a month for gas and electric in total. Now I’m still paying £100 a month with my thermostat down to 16’c instead of 20’c. This is going to be like petrol & diesel, it goes up but never really comes down again.

It’s a joke we needed it lower over the winter months not when we won’t use it as much! The energy sector is about profit not service and that needs to change !

So why have octopus asked me for more? More per day in electricity and gas and charge. Ev user. From 7p to 7.5p 26.6p to 30.5 and standing charge from 50.2 to 50.9

Standing charges should be fixed.. full stop… getting gas or electricity to your property does not change, so why should the standing charges…. Just a way to confuse the public as to what they are paying!
