the cat had been captured after being spotted with severe injury from a porcupine. it was take to a vet and procedure was done to remove all the quills. The rehaber kept her to ensure that she came our of the anesthesia ok. This part of the video was taken at the release, it was tested and found to have rabies.... which maybe why it attacked the porcupine to start with.

if youre ever bit or scratched or ANYTHING with an animal in the wild, go to the er and get treated asap. you can never be too safe. rabies is irreversible and untreatable a short while after being transmitted. get treated almost IMMEDIATELY after the interaction or you may literally die.
