@arkaisar123: Jupiter cannot protect Earth from the asteroid that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs for several reasons. First, Jupiter has extremely strong gravity, but it can also pull asteroids and comets out of their orbits, sending them closer to Earth. This means Jupiter can sometimes act as a “destroyer” rather than a “guardian” of Earth. Second, the asteroid that caused the dinosaurs’ extinction is believed to have come from the asteroid belt beyond Jupiter’s orbit, and Jupiter could not stop it because it already had the right speed and direction to head toward Earth. So, Jupiter was not entirely responsible for the extinction of the dinosaurs. Instead, it was a combination of astronomical and geological factors that led to the asteroid striking Earth. #erth #1500 #yearofdainasor
