Hainnn :
Lets be real, re zero is not flawless.
Despite the enormous length of the web novel, it's ironic how little the story has actually progressed. Both the narrative and the world feel far too centered around Subaru, he literally is the center of the universe. A good world building is where the world can function beyond the protagonist's field of view or influence. Witch Hat Atelier for instance you can genuinely feel how small Coco is compared to the world around her. And the story, after all these arcs, there has been very little thematic development and depend alot on plot progression. In the end, everything still revolves around Subaru's perseverance, a theme we've already seen countless times in 2000s shounen . other themes that re zero explores is surface-level at best. reading ts feels like reading a long ahh self-help. Furthermore, Subaru's perseverance is so exaggerated to that it loses much of its meaning for me. Rather than being an expression of personal growth or self-improvement, it becomes a matter of literal survival. You can say that this is what gives Subaru's struggle its weight. but to me, perseverance should come from your own desire to grow and improve, not from such external forcing environment. Dont get me wrong, i still think re zero is a decent isekai in general, but its not that good and definitely not a "fiction slayer"
